iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to debut on 9 September 2026 with Apple’s first 2nm chip and a variable aperture main camera.

iPhone 18 Pro series is launching in September and that means the rumours are pretty much close to coming true. Apple is going to bring a host of new iPhones, including what many expect to be its first foldable in the market.

The iPhone 18 Pro features are still all over the place but some of the reliable reports have given us a strong idea about what people can expect from this year’s iPhone 18 Pro series.

The company is heavily linked with delaying the iPhone 18 launch to early 2027 which means all the attention will be on the Pros and here are the 5 features that we can expect with the new iPhone 18 Pro models.

5 iPhone 18 Pro Features To Expect

New iPhone Pro colours

Apple surprised everybody by bringing the iPhone 17 Pro in bright colours like orange and blue last year. These variants were a definite hit among buyers and the iPhone 18 Pro could come in more new shades like cherry red which has already been spotted in the leak renders. Will it be as popular as the current shades? We’ll find out soon.

New Pro Chip

If the iPhone 17 Pro was powered by A19 Pro chipset, Apple will be upgrading its successor to the A20 Pro version which is said to be built on a 2nm process that should give better all-round performance and efficiency. The chip will also be entrusted with making Siri AI talk, answer and do all sorts of AI things for the users.

Improved Cameras

Apple continues to serve same-ish cameras on the Pros but the 18 Pro series is rumoured to be going for the kill with features like variable aperture tipped to debut. We might also see the company offer a better telephoto lens with a wider aperture and better Pro-centric features to take advantage of the hardware upgrades.

New Siri

Not exactly a new feature but having Siri AI working on the iPhone 18 Pro will be a sight to behold for the fan boys. We have already got a teaser of how the new Siri works over the Dynamic Island and is more personalised than ever. With the additional hardware on board the iPhone 18 Pro, the AI data is also secure with on-device responses.

Longer Battery Run

Going with a 2nm chip will enable Apple to pack in a slightly bigger battery on the iPhone 18 Pros and using this hardware’s efficiency should result in more running time available for the users. Does the iPhone 18 Pro battery size go past the 5,000mAh mark this year, we sure hope so.
