Mallika Sherawat’s The Traitors Looks Are Pure Drama: Here’s How We’d Give Them A 2026 Makeover

Mallika Sherawat’s The Traitors 2 looks are all about glamour. Here’s how modern hair, makeup, accessories and colour trends could elevate her silver, green and black looks.

Mallika Sherawat’s The Traitors Style Is Unmissable But These Beauty Tweaks Could Change Everything

Mallika Sherawat has gone full glamour on The Traitors 2. From crystal-encrusted gowns to emerald sequins and liquid-metallic black, her wardrobe is designed for maximum drama. But if we were styling these looks for 2026, we wouldn’t change the dresses, we’d change the beauty, accessories and colour story.

Mallika Sherawat has never been afraid of glamour. And on The Traitors 2, the actor has leaned into precisely the kind of high-impact dressing that has long been part of her signature, body-skimming silhouettes, shimmer, plunging necklines, metallics and plenty of sparkle.

But there is an interesting fashion conversation to be had here that goes beyond whether a dress works or doesn’t.

What happens when you leave the clothes exactly as they are and simply modernise the styling?

Because fashion in 2026 isn’t necessarily asking celebrities to dress down. It is asking for more considered styling: luminous rather than heavily perfected skin, strategic colour, softer hair movement, sculptural jewellery and one clear focal point instead of several competing ones.

And Mallika’s The Traitors wardrobe is actually perfect for that experiment.

Here are the looks we’d keep and the beauty and styling tweaks we’d make.

1. The silver crystal gown: Cool down the glamour

This may be the most overtly glamorous of the looks in the pictures we have. Mallika wears a silver, crystal-encrusted gown with a corseted sweetheart neckline, sheer central detailing and a thigh-high slit. The dress is covered in reflective embellishment, so it catches practically every bit of light around her.

She pairs it with a diamond-style choker, a watch and strappy metallic heels, while her hair is styled in big, side-swept waves.

What we’d keep

The dress. Absolutely.

The silhouette works with the Traitors setting, theatrical, glamorous and unapologetic. There is no need to make the gown quieter.

The jewellery also makes sense with the neckline: the choker fills the space without introducing another competing colour.

What we’d change: the hair

This is where we’d make the biggest intervention. The large, brushed-out Hollywood waves are glamorous, but they push the look towards traditional red-carpet glamour.

For 2026, we’d make the hair more deliberate and slightly less constructed. Think: deep side part + glossy roots + controlled waves through the lengths. Or go completely in the other direction with a sleek, polished centre part.

The idea is not to remove the glamour. It is to make it look more chic.

The makeup

Mallika’s makeup here is defined and glamorous: a strong eye, sculpted cheeks and a neutral lip. We’d soften the base and let the skin have more dimension.

Our version:

Satin-finish skin

Cream blush

softly smoked taupe/charcoal eyes

defined lashes

Muted rose or nude gloss

The current beauty conversation has moved towards softer skin and blush-led sculpting rather than an obviously contoured, heavily perfected base.

And interestingly, cool-toned beauty is having another moment, making silver, icy taupe, grey and muted pink particularly relevant companions for a silver dress.

The accessory edit

The choker works. But we’d resist adding anything else around the neck. The dress is already reflective enough. One beautiful necklace, one watch and minimal rings are enough.

Our verdict

Keep the dress. Cool down the beauty. The modern version of this look would be less about adding more glamour and more about making the glamour look intentional.

2. The emerald-green dress: Let the colour do the talking

This is the look that has generated the most fashion conversation around the show recently.

In the deleted Traitors 2 clip, Mallika is seen in a deep emerald-green, floor-length shimmering dress with a plunging neckline and flowing skirt. She wears her hair loose in soft waves and keeps the makeup relatively understated, with defined eyes and a neutral lip. And that’s actually what makes this look interesting.

Unlike the silver gown, the green dress doesn’t need much help.

What we’d keep

Almost everything. The deep green is rich enough to carry the look, and the long, fluid silhouette gives it movement.

The gold bangles in the picture also provide a nice contrast against the green.

The hair

The loose waves work, but we’d make them a little less perfect. Instead of a highly polished blowout, we’d go for: soft, brushed-out waves with a slightly undone finish.

That would immediately make the look feel more fashion-editorial and less like conventional event glamour.

The makeup: introduce one unexpected colour

This is where we’d make the biggest change. Rather than a conventional neutral eye and nude lip, we’d introduce one subtle colour note.

Our pick?

A berry or burgundy lip. Or, if we want to be more experimental, a very soft emerald or deep-plum liner along the lash line.

The point isn’t to match the makeup to the dress.

It’s actually the opposite: Don’t match green with green. Give emerald a contrasting colour story.

Burgundy and other rich jewel tones are particularly strong directions for the current fashion palette.

The jewellery

The gold bangles are one of the things we’d retain. But we’d edit the rest. A single sculptural earring would feel more current than adding multiple traditional jewellery pieces.

Statement jewellery is very much part of the current fashion conversation but the modern way to wear it is often to let one piece carry the look.

And the big controversy? We wouldn’t touch it.

There has been considerable discussion around whether Mallika’s green dress was genuinely Dolce & Gabbana after Shalini Passi questioned the claim in an unaired clip. However, that remains a claim rather than an independently established fact, and Mallika subsequently responded to the discussion herself.

Our verdict

The green dress needs the least fixing. We’d keep the dress, keep the gold accents and simply modernise the beauty with softer hair and a richer lip.

3. The black liquid-metallic gown: Go sleek

WhatsApp Image 2026 08 25 at 10.49.52 AM 2026 08 53c0041eaf4c494c9604f235bdff2ef1

This is arguably our favourite look to play with. Mallika wears a black, liquid-metallic, one-shoulder gown with dramatic draping through the skirt. She pairs it with long drop earrings and metallic strappy heels.

Then there is the setting: a carved wooden throne, a dark backdrop and the show’s glowing eye motif. It is already practically a fashion campaign.

What we’d keep

The dress. The asymmetry. The metallic finish. The earrings. There is no reason to make this more complicated. In fact, we’d simplify.

The hair: go sleek

Mallika’s long, voluminous waves are beautiful, but with a liquid-metallic dress, we’d want the hair to provide contrast.

Our choice:A sleek, glossy side part. Or even a wet-look finish tucked behind one ear.

That would make the silhouette of the dress stand out and give the look a much stronger 2026 fashion-editorial feel.

The makeup

Here we’d follow the one-statement rule.

Instead of having dramatic hair, dramatic dress, dramatic eye makeup and dramatic jewellery all competing, choose one.

For this look:soft charcoal smoky eye + luminous skin + muted nude lip. Or, if we want to make it evening-editorial: clean skin + minimal eye + deep burgundy lip.

That second option could be particularly striking against the black.

The earrings

Keep them. The one-shoulder neckline gives them room to shine. We would not add a necklace. The asymmetry of the neckline is enough.

The shoes

The metallic strappy sandals work, but for a cleaner editorial finish we’d consider a barely-there black sandal.

Why?

Because the dress should be the first thing the eye notices.

The colour grading

This is perhaps the most underrated part of the look. The footage has a very warm, amber atmosphere. We’d slightly cool the overall colour grade while retaining the golden highlights.

Think: black + silver + champagne + warm amber rather than making the entire image orange-toned. The result would feel moodier, sharper and more luxurious.

Our verdict

This is the look where we’d make the biggest transformation without changing a single piece of clothing.

Sleeker hair. Softer skin. One strong makeup element. No additional jewellery.

So, what is actually trending in 2026?

The interesting thing about Mallika’s wardrobe is that the maximalism itself isn’t necessarily dated. The shift is in how maximalism is styled.

1. Luminous skin over heavy base

Skin is looking more dimensional and natural rather than completely masked.

2. Blush is doing more of the sculpting

Instead of relying entirely on contour, blush is being used to lift and shape the face.

3. One dramatic beauty element

A strong eye or a strong lip or expressive colour, rather than making every element equally intense.

4. Glossy, controlled hair

The big blowout isn’t disappearing. But it is being polished differently: healthier, shinier and more fluid.

5. Sculptural jewellery

Rather than wearing every possible piece, one strong earring, bracelet or brooch can become the defining accessory.

6. Colour contrast

Instead of matching makeup to clothing, fashion beauty is increasingly playing with unexpected combinations.

Emerald + burgundy.

Silver + mauve.

Black + wine.

Gold + cool taupe.

That is where Mallika’s looks could really be brought into 2026. The Mallika Sherawat fashion formula we’d use

The actor’s biggest strength on The Traitors is also the easiest thing to preserve: She is not afraid of glamour. So we wouldn’t try to turn her into a minimalist.

Instead, we’d use a simple rule: MAXIMALIST CLOTHES + EDITED BEAUTY

A dramatic dress? → Sleeker hair.

A heavily embellished gown? → Fresh skin.

A strong colour? → Contrasting lip.

A statement neckline? → One earring, no necklace.

A metallic outfit? → Cool-toned makeup.

And that is ultimately the styling intervention we’d make across Mallika’s The Traitors 2 wardrobe.

The clothes don’t need to become quieter. The styling just needs to become more selective.

Because in 2026, glamour isn’t about doing less. It’s about knowing exactly what deserves the attention.

EDITOR’S NOTE ON THE IMAGES

The screenshots supplied for this story currently give us three distinct Mallika looks — silver crystal, emerald green and black metallic. I would not pad the article with duplicate screenshots just to reach five. For a five-look gallery, we should add two genuinely different Traitors 2 looks from the show before publication.

The three supplied looks, however, already give us a very strong visual thesis: silver = cool-toned beauty, green = colour contrast, black = sleek editorial styling.
