Toxic Movie Review: Yash’s Stylish Gangster Saga Is Bloody, Bizarre And Beautifully Chaotic I WATCH

Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups throws gangsters, post-Independence Goa, Portuguese rule, murderous circus clowns and old-school swagger into one wildly ambitious world. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is visually stunning and packed with style, atmosphere and memorable set pieces, with Yash delivering a strong double performance as Raya and Ticket, while Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria make their mark. But beneath the glamour, the film struggles with its lengthy runtime, uneven editing and underwritten female characters. Still, with its striking production design, Rajeev Ravi’s cinematography and a fascinating exploration of power, family and generational sins, ‘Toxic’ is messy, excessive and occasionally self-indulgent, but never boring.
