As the controversy picked up pace, social media users began circulating an old interview of singer Suchitra, in which she spoke about Vijay and Trisha. She said, “I don’t like Trisha at all. I will tell this objectively and will not let it colour my judgment. I like Vijay very much. I will give my opinion honestly without taking sides.”
Suchitra On Vijay
Suchitra also spoke about Vijay’s political journey and personal life. According to ABP Live, she said, “Parasites tend to enter the lives of successful people when they become isolated. Vijay has isolated himself by distancing himself from his parents and wife. He is alone but has done no soul-searching till now. Amidst this, he has come into politics; to be honest about it he needs his father Chandrashekhar who may steer him through political waters otherwise he would achieve nothing in politics because if any good things can happen to him in politics they should be supported by his father.”
Claims About Trisha
In the same interview, Suchitra also made many unverified claims about Trisha Krishnan’s personal life. She did not provide evidence to support these claims, and they have not been independently verified by News18.
She said, “Vijay may be in love with Trisha, but Trisha is in love with Udayanidhi Stalin! Actually, Trisha and Varun Manian’s marriage was stopped because of Udayanidhi Stalin. Udayanidhi could not bear their marriage.”

During a recent DMK protest in Thanjavur over the Cauvery water dispute and Karnataka’s proposed Mekedatu project, Udhayanidhi Stalin was addressing a gathering when he criticised Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay. As the crowd reportedly began chanting Trisha’s name, Udhayanidhi responded with a remark in Tamil that roughly translates to: “Wherever water comes, whether it comes or not, water should come there.” However, he immediately clarified that he was referring to the Cauvery water.
