On the issue of paper leak in NEET-UG 2026 examination, BJP MP Ashok Chavan said: “The government has always been serious about this matter and never took it lightly. As soon as the issue came to light, the CBI arrested several people… The Prime Minister handled it very firmly…”, according to ANI.

After the Lok Sabha was adjourned following an opposition ruckus, BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut said: “We live by the same values we teach our children, and that’s exactly what we say publicly. The principles that brought us success, respect, and dignity are the ones we recommend to everyone. We don’t have one set of rules for ourselves and another for others. If you agree with our advice, follow it. If you don’t, do what you think is right. We can only share what has worked for us, we cannot speak for anyone else’s experience”, as quoted by PTI.

On Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, that was passed in the Parliament on Friday, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said: “The bill addressing exam paper leaks has been passed with the support of the majority of MPs; while there was no real opposition to the measure itself, any dissent that did occur was politically motivated. Everyone is serious about education, and particularly so regarding the issue of exam paper leaks… We hope everyone cooperates to ensure the smooth functioning of Parliament… Now, the priority is to implement it as soon as possible to safeguard the students’ future, and there are several other important bills listed—including one for today. I appeal to the opposition parties: while they are free to raise their issues, it would be beneficial for them—and for everyone else—not to disrupt the passing of bills, Question Hour, or other important parliamentary business.”

Congress MP and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Friday intensified his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, alleging that the Centre was trying to silence youngsters by filing FIRs and taking down social media accounts.

In a post on ‘X’, Rahul Gandhi said, “PM Modi and Amit Shah – you cannot threaten Gen Z into silence. First you broke their bones. Now you are filing FIRs and taking down their accounts.”

“You are India’s past. Be careful about how you treat India’s future”, he said.
