The Odyssey’s record-breaking voyage has begun! Christopher Nolan’s epic has rewritten the box-office record book, emerging as a massive global success.

The Odyssey has grossed $1.104 billion worldwide, making it Nolan’s highest-grossing film ever and surpassing The Dark Knight Rises.

A historic opening for Nolan! The Odyssey earned $264.1 million worldwide in its opening weekend, giving the filmmaker his biggest global opening ever and surpassing The Dark Knight Rises, The Dark Knight and Oppenheimer.

The Odyssey has set a new IMAX benchmark. The film has crossed $289 million in worldwide IMAX gross, surpassing Avatar to become the highest-grossing IMAX film ever.

The record started before the film even opened. The Odyssey set an all-time IMAX pre-sales record with $50 million in advance ticket sales before its theatrical release, followed by a $52 million opening weekend.

The Nolan phenomenon has gone global. The Odyssey recorded Nolan’s biggest opening in 48 of 73 international markets, while also delivering Universal’s biggest opening in 11 international markets.

The film collected ₹20.76 crore on Day 1 in India, surpassing Oppenheimer and going on to cross ₹100 crore in its opening weekend.

Another major milestone in India! The Odyssey became only the second Christopher Nolan film to cross ₹100 crore in India, and the first Hollywood film released in 2026 to achieve the milestone.

Made for IMAX, and the numbers prove it. The Odyssey was shot using 2.1 million feet of IMAX film, roughly 80-100 km longer than a round-the-world journey, and has crossed $289 million in worldwide IMAX gross.
