Rocky added 214 runs off 127 balls for the fourth wicket with Keaton Jennings, who scored 156 runs off 127 balls, to help Lancashire post a mammoth total of 443/6 in their allotted 50 overs.

Rocky’s century on Tuesday was his maiden hundred in List A cricket. In his previous 14 List A matches, he had scored 350 runs, including two half-centuries.

Rocky has also played five first-class matches so far and has scored 137 runs in nine innings.

Before scoring his century against Somerset in Taunton on Tuesday, Rocky had played an unbeaten knock of 61 runs for Lancashire in their previous One-Day Cup match against Warwickshire. In that game, he batted at No. 5 and smashed six fours and a six during his 51-ball stay at the crease.

Rocky’s father, Andrew Flintoff, recently stepped down from his role as head coach of the England Lions. Flintoff, who played 79 Tests, 141 ODIs and seven T20Is for England between 1998 and 2009, will make his debut as a head coach in the BBL this year. He was appointed Sydney Thunder’s head coach earlier this year.
