Marco Jansen’s Twin Brother Duan Earns Maiden South Africa Call-Up For Namibia Tour
Prior to earning his maiden South Africa call-up, 26-year-old Duan had played 29 First-Class, 35 List A and 57 T20 matches. He has 45 wickets to his name in List A and 64 in T20s.

Star South African pacer Marco Jansen’s twin brother, Duan Jansen, earned his maiden international call-up for South Africa on Tuesday (August 11) for the upcoming white-ball tour of Namibia. South Africa will travel to Namibia later this month for a T20I tri-series involving the hosts and Zimbabwe. The South African men’s cricket team is also scheduled to play a three-match ODI series against Namibia next month.
Spinner Bjorn Fortuin will captain the South African team, with ODI skipper Temba Bavuma and T20I captain Aiden Markram rested for the away white-ball series.

Young batter Dewald Brevis, who has represented South Africa in all three formats, is part of the squad along with top-order batter Tony de Zorzi, Lhuan-dre Pretorius, Jason Smith and Kwena Maphaka, among others.

Like his twin brother Marco, Duan can also contribute with the bat and has scored half-centuries in both First-Class and List A cricket.

“The squad will remain in the capital city for a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series against the hosts from 09 – 13 September, which will be the first-ever 50-over series between the two nations.”
“Momentum Multiply Titans all-rounder Duan Jansen has earned his maiden national call-up after impressing domestically,” the release added.
The T20I tri-series is scheduled to be played from August 28 to September 6 at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek. The three ODIs between South Africa and Namibia are scheduled for September 9, 11 and 13 at the same venue.
