Mrunal Thakur’s latest dating rumour involves cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal. Speculation began after a viral video showed Mrunal at a café in Bandra West, Mumbai, followed moments later by Yashasvi leaving the same venue. The clip did not show the two together, but that did not stop social media from linking them.

Mrunal has since dismissed the speculation rather directly. Responding to the reports, she wrote, “Bro relax, show me ek sath kahan?”, questioning where she and Yashasvi had actually been seen together. The actor’s response made it clear that she did not confirm any relationship with the cricketer.

Mrunal and Dhanush were first heavily linked after they were seen greeting each other warmly at the Son of Sardaar 2 premiere in August 2025. A video showed Mrunal hugging Dhanush, who had attended the event, and their interaction quickly became fodder for dating speculation.

The speculation went much further, with reports claiming Mrunal and Dhanush were planning to marry on Valentine’s Day in 2026. Mrunal eventually laughed off the claims, telling Hindustan Times, “Woh toh shaadi ho rahi hai, according to them,” while later saying she had no idea where the rumours came from.

Mrunal has repeatedly clarified that her equation with Dhanush is professional and rooted in love for his work. In an interview, she said, “I am a big, big fan of him,” and described him as “such an institution.” She also revealed that she had personally invited him to the Son of Sardaar 2 screening and hoped to work with him someday.

In December 2025, Mrunal’s name was linked to cricketer Shreyas Iyer after social-media speculation claimed the two had been secretly dating. There was no confirmation of a relationship, but the rumours went viral because Mrunal herself reacted to the chatter.

Instead of directly confirming or denying the Shreyas speculation, Mrunal posted a video of herself receiving a head massage from her mother. Her caption read, “They talk, we laugh. P.S. Rumours are free PR and I love free stuff!” The post was interpreted by fans as her light-hearted response to the rumours involving both Shreyas and Dhanush.

Mrunal was also linked to rapper Badshah in 2023 after the two were filmed holding hands while leaving Shilpa Shetty’s Diwali party. The video went viral, with social media users speculating that the two were dating. Mrunal and Badshah were also photographed together inside the party.

The Badshah speculation was short-lived. The rapper addressed the reports on Instagram, writing, “Dear internet, sorry to disappoint you yet again but jaisa aap soch rahe hain waise nahi hai.”

Unlike the other names, Mrunal’s relationship with writer Sharad Chandra Tripathi was not simply an internet rumour. The two dated and participated together on Nach Baliye 7, where they spoke about their relationship and their hope that their families would accept them. Their relationship eventually ended, and they went their separate ways.
