Mumbai Men Block Road For Birthday, Cut Cakes On Car Bonnet, Fire Airgun; 10 Arrested
Ten people were arrested after allegedly blocking a road in Mumbai’s Borivali for a birthday celebration, cutting cakes on a car bonnet and firing pellets from an airgun.

A late-night birthday celebration in Mumbai’s Borivali ended with the arrest of 10 people after the group allegedly blocked a public road, created a disturbance and fired pellets from an airgun, police said.
The incident took place around 12.30 am on August 5 near Gharkul Co-operative Housing Society in Gorai-2. According to police, the group parked a black Innova in the middle of the road and placed multiple birthday cakes on its bonnet before cutting them.

Videos of the incident show the birthday celebrant cutting several cakes placed on the bonnet of the SUV while his friends gathered around, cheering loudly and celebrating on the road.
Police said the gathering disrupted traffic and disturbed public peace as the group continued the celebration in the middle of the street.
Airgun Fired During Celebration
The situation escalated when one of the men allegedly fired a “baby airgun”, creating panic among people in the area.
According to Borivali police, the airgun belonged to Jatin Sharma, while Vijesh Upadhyay allegedly fired pellets from the weapon. Police said the act endangered the safety of the public and created fear in the locality.
10 Held, Probe Underway
Police have arrested 10 people in connection with the incident, including Akash Gupta, Jatin Sharma and Vijesh Upadhyay.
A case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Motor Vehicles Act, the Maharashtra Police Act and the Criminal Law Amendment Act.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
