Portugal are currently ranked 37th in the ICC Men’s T20I team rankings and will face Israel, Germany, Greece and Czechia in Group B of the T20 World Cup Europe Sub-Regional Qualifier C, which is set to be played from August 14 to 20.

According to the qualification rules, the winner of Group B will face the winner of Group A in the final on August 21.

The winner of Sub-Regional Qualifier C will then advance to the European Regional Final, where they will face Scotland, Jersey and Denmark. The top two teams from that tournament will qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2028 Global Qualifier.

The 2028 T20 World Cup is scheduled to be hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
